I have always wondered how do fresh dates look like? Well, not always but I do wonder from time to time. Personally, I do not like dates much. Chinese cooking normally has dates in it, be it soup or your average Chinese dessert as they believe dates are good. (I suppose they are…) Muslims take dates a lot too especially during the fasting month.
I have however now discovered that I do like fresh dates!! Especially those really fresh ones from China! These are the fresh dates that my uncle bought for us. It sorta reminds me of cherries. I guess its just the shape. The texture itself reminds me of apples. Just slightly yummier. Well, different kinda of yummy.
The downside … they’re expensive!! Somebody, buy me more!!
